WE THE CHANGE, MUST BEGIN WITH I THE CHANGE

We The Change must begin with I The Change. The question is: are you allowing this to happen? I was not.

I read this quote while reading a blog which referred to the changes a caterpillar must endure to evolve as a butterfly. (butterflies speak to me) With that being said, I cannot change without being completely and totally honest and accountable. And more than anything, I want to loose this weight, be transformed and SEE the beautiful person within.

I'm starting today, Jan 2, 2010 with a reality check. I am sharing this information so I cannot hide from, or deny the truth. I am 5'8". I weigh (at this very moment) 203.2 lbs (with clothing). I'm up almost 20 lbs from 2 years ago. I WILL make the small, gradual changes needed to make this a lifestyle change and not a "DIEt". I will commit to weighing one time each week, and posting here, and I hope this is ok in our 'safe' environment. I am also going to REcommit to this program.

My daily goals (for the next week):

1. Exercise for 20 minutes @ least 4 times (I just did this for 20 min. on
elyptical and burned 227 calories).
2. Increase my water - a LOT.
3. Order my NEW Arbonne pre-made shakes for convenience @ work, and no excuses.
4. Be completely honest and accountable and participate full-out in AHL, by
retraining myself to think of fuel vs poison.

I hope you will not mind this post. I'm so inspired by San, Gerri and Tee not only by the results you've obtained, but also the incredible program you've put together for me and for anyone who chooses to "be the change". Thank you for allowing me to be a part of AHL.

With love and gratitude,

  2. Tina,

Your words are so inspiring and empowering. This is what AHL is about. This is about embracing the best in ourselves and in the life we create each and every day. And it is so much more FUN and REWARDING to do this together.

You have me too. I'm a 100%er. Love, Gerri

  5. Hello, Ya'll. Wow, things sure do come your way when you make up your mind to do something! I had many challenges this week, but for the most part I made good choices. Had one really rough day and had two glasses of wine, but all in all, I'm making small changes.

I met my work-out goal. I had hoped to go beyond and work out more than four days, but I am happy to say I met my goal here!

I increased my water TREMENDOUSLY and I am happy about that.

I walked away from "treats" (poison) and made better choices.

Honestly, I forgot to think of fuel vs poison, but I was conscious of what was 'good' vs 'bad' for my body. This week I need to change the verbage from good to fuel, and bad to posion.

I did not order my shakes yet, and I plan on doing that today.

MY WEIGHT: I didn't do as good as I hoped, but the scale went down. 198.4 So I lost almost 5 pounds. I know this is a lifestyle change and I will continue to treat this as such.

I was really happy that I choose hot tea when I got home, rather than the normal glass of red wine. (except for the one day) It was just as satisfying - actually it warmed and comforted me even better than the wine.

    This week's goals:
    1. exercise 4 days for at least 20 minutes
    2. increase water even more
    3. incorporate fuel/poison verbage
    4. be on the call (no matter what)
    5. loose two pounds :D
    6. order those shakes

    LOVE YOU GUYS!
