Something to think about

Here is a quote I saw recently from Anne Frank -
" How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world."

You can read Anne's quote in the traditional world sense or you could read it in the smaller world sense - the world within you. One of the AHF principles is get started, do something, something is better than nothing and this quote soeaks to that. What are you waiting for? Did you have a slip up this morning - stop waiting - recommit.

The world in both the senses is yours. Improve it - now in this moment.

Love to all!

SNACKS that are FUEL!

Here's a list of foods the AHL crew uses to craze on. Lots of these foods are high in calories so you need to eat just enough to satisfy the need to chew or get the taste. I find the more I take my vitamins the less cravings I have between meals and I love Gerri's comment about being thirsty. Tee's chewing gum is interesting too. I used to eat so much while I prepared a meal and found if I chewed Dentene I couldn't pop food in my mouth! Please suggest your favorites to add to our list!

Almonds, Walnuts
Apples with natural peanut butter/almond butter
Arbonne Chews
Baby Bell cheeses
Baby carrots
Cup of Detox Tea or splurge on Chai
Dried Fruits
Hummus with carrots
Fig 8 Protein Bars I cut them into 1" cubes
Fizzy Tabs - sometimes it's really that I'm thirsty when I think I'm hungry
Frozen grapes - yummy in the summer
Fresh fruit
Greek Yogurt with Honey

Hard Boiled Egg
Protein, Lunch Meat, Chicken, Fish - I try to cook extra so there will be something in the fridge ready to eat
Peppermint sugar free gum
Prepared Veggies ... celery, peppers, mushrooms, carrots, cherry tomatoes

Rice cakes
Seeds such as Pepitas - roasted and shelled pumpkin seeds
Yogurt/small cups of yogurt - sprinkle w/granola if you need something crunchy
Water

Some Great Books

As you are thinking about your Summer reading list, think about adding the "You" series of books by Dr. Mehmet Oz. The books are wonderful and they really deliver information about health, wellness, disease, prevention, etc. in a manner that is easily digestible (pardon the pun). The advice is wise and is complimentary to what we are learning together.

Also, I would encourage all of you walkers out there to look in your community for 5K events. A 5K is 3.1 miles. Most of these events welcome walkers or have an alternate walking option. They are great motivators if you are the type of person who like to be working toward a goal. Plus, often times the money raised supports important efforts in our communities. Finally, the Run/Walk communities are some of the nicest most encouraging people you will meet. They are very big believers is "start where you are" and "anything is better than nothing."

Love to all,

Session Two

So proud of everyone for recommitting for another six weeks. You all inspire me. I am recommitting as well and my goal is full out for the next six weeks and 10 pounds down. At that time, I will be at my goal weight.

So here we go.

Love and healthy thoughts to all!

Incredible!

That's how I feel about all of us on this Abundant Healthy Living journey! It has been my pleasure to work with San, Gerri, Suzanne and T and all of you who have been on the calls. I love the 'light bulb' moments! I have to say, my metablism has shifted a bit, time for me to step up the exercise regime. I have learned so much and look forward to learning more! There is always something on the horizon for us to incorporate into this process.
Love You All!
